Skills Welding
This course will prepare students to perform the duties and responsibilities
required by entry level positions in the welding trade, such as welder,
arc welder, or combination welder. Students will learn about welding shop
safety, shop math, shop English, and blueprint interpretation. In addition,
they will study the SMAW process, the Oxy-Fuel process, the GTAW process,
and the GMAW and FCAW process. Learning about all of the above processes
will include becoming familiar with the tools, materials, equipment, and
set up, as well as getting experience in each area.

Average Course Length: 900 hours (26 weeks)
Occupational Titles: Welding Machine Operator, Welder Apprentice, Welder, Pipe Fitter, Combination Welder, Welder Combination.
