Skills Medical Insurance Billing
This course will provide fundamental knowledge of the medical office
operations. Upon completion, the student will have the working knowledge
and skills to work at entry level positions as a medical records clerk,
hospital admitting clerk, outpatient admitting clerk, appointment clerk,
medical voucher clerk, insurance clerk, medical receptionist, or a claims
clerk. Jobs for this program are available in private doctors' offices,
medical clinics, hospitals, and medical insurance companies. Students
will learn medical terms, general office procedures, the filling out of
medical insurance forms, medical coding, and computerized medical billing.
