Skills — Custodial Services

This course will prepare students to perform the duties and responsibilities required by entry level positions in commercial cleaning industry, such as janitor, commercial cleaner, industrial cleaner, floor waxer, or head janitor. Students will learn about custodial related English and math, safety and building security, and custodial techniques, such as stripping floors and vacuuming. In addition, they will study how to use cleaning chemicals, and how to clean carpets and fabric. Finally, students will learn restroom care and basic facility maintenance, such as replacing fuses and clearing drains.
