Skills — Building Maintenance

This course will prepare students to perform the duties and responsibilities required by entry level positions in the building maintenance field, such as plumbing assembler-installer, maintenance carpenter, carpenter (construction) helper, electrician helper, plumber helper, manufactured building repairer, and maintenance repairer (building). Students will learn about building maintenance related English and math, OSHA-based safety standards, blueprint reading, carpentry, electrical repair, plumbing, interior and exterior maintenance, such as repairing wall surfaces and preparing them for painting.
