AT&T and CET Partner to Include Women in Green Tech
The AT&T Foundation, whose strategic focus areas include workforce diversity, awarded the Center for Employment Training (CET) a one year grant to target training for low-income unemployed women. The AT&T grant will be used in Santa Clara County, promoting training and job placement of women in nontraditional green jobs. Statistics from the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau shows the significant absence of women employed in nontraditional jobs, including occupations like HVAC, electrical and the construction trades, all programs offered at CET. |
