Through Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s corporate advised fund for Microsoft Corporation, Microsoft Unlimited Potential, Center for Employment Training, was awarded a one year grant to enhance and expand access to Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL) training to limited English speaking students at CET.

AT&T and CET Partner to Include Women in Green Tech

The AT&T Foundation, whose strategic focus areas include workforce diversity, awarded the Center for Employment Training (CET) a one year grant to target training for low-income unemployed women. The AT&T grant will be used in Santa Clara County, promoting training and job placement of women in nontraditional green jobs. Statistics from the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau shows the significant absence of women employed in nontraditional jobs, including occupations like HVAC, electrical and the construction trades, all programs offered at CET.
