Hire a Graduate
If you are interested in hiring a CET graduate, or learning more about
becoming an employer of future CET job-skill trained people, call your
local center.
An advantage of the open-entry, open-exit training approach for employers
is that there is a constant stream of job ready graduates year-round in
the skills offered in a given community. Therefore, employers do not have
to wait for the next graduating class at the end of a semester for candidates
to recruit from.
Employers can, on an ongoing basis, simply contact the training center
director or industrial relations specialist at the local center in attempting
to match job ready students to employer job orders.
CET partners with employers through an Industrial Advisory Board (IAB).
This employer support group is crucial to the success of each CET training
center. Employers assist CET in identifying and determining demand skills
in their respective community. CET in turn provides training in these
demand skills.
Employers are involved directly at CET, through Technical Advisory
Committees in helping CET compose the elements of training curricula
and validating them on at least an annual basis. IAB input on adequacy
of equipment, tools, training methods and processes help to assure that
training is kept as up to date as possible.
CETs partnership with employers helps to promote CET as first-choice
for selection of eligible candidates for job openings.
