CET training is available to anyone over the age of compulsory school attendance who wants to learn a skill for job placement.
Orientations for interested students are regularly held at each training center. Applicants are given a full tour of the facilities and encouraged to choose the skill that most interests them. After a student applicant has made a skill choice, a skill orientation is given, and the student meets with the skill instructor to discuss employment opportunities and course expectations.
If the student applicant decides to enroll, an Individual Service Strategy (ISS) is started. The new trainee may then take an assessment test; the results used to determine a student's particular training needs. Staff members will also determine if the student applicant needs complementary training, and is eligible for some form of financial aid under one of CET's funding sources.
