Training Method
Contextual Learning Model
CET nationwide offers more than 30 skill-training options. Programs are designed for young people and adults of all backgrounds. Centers operate year-round, featuring an open-entry, open-exit, competency-based training format; there are no fixed "semesters."
Students train at their own pace in a highly individualized, non-competitive environment, with over 60% of the training conducted in a hands-on environment. An intensive program – students attend 7 hours a day, 5 days a week for an average of 7 months. Classes are conducted for small groups of students which reinforces the individualized training focus.
Good work habits are learned through simulation of a business environment: including work place know-how, work preparedness, attendance and punctuality. CET students stay in training until they are placed in a job.
CET's unique holistic approach to educational job training offers students a variety of supplemental services.
