Richard Trigg, Region IX Administrator,
Department of Labor (DOL), ETA
On
Wednesday, June 7, 2006, CET welcomed and
toured Mr. Richard Trigg, Regional Administrator
of the
U.S. Department of Labor, Employment
Training Administration, Regional Office in San
Francisco. Mr. Trigg comes from the Job Corps
Division of the Department of Labor.
He oversees
DOL funded Programs in western states.
CET is a grantee of funds from DOL specifically
appropriated to train, retrain and place in jobs
Migrant and Seasonal Farm Workers (MSFW).
The MSFW program is national, however,
Mr. Trigg will soon have oversight responsibility
over CET’s grant and all other MSFW grants.
We welcome Mr. Trigg and see this as an opportunity
for enhancing services to the workers who put food
on our tables – the Farm Workers of America!
