Fifty two Hepatitis B Vaccines were given; 11 Breast Exams were performed; 36 Chlamydia and Gonorrhea tests were given. In addition, twenty-eight confidential HIV tests were performed; and, one hundred dental checks were given. Also, over 10 units of blood were donated. Many more signed up to donate but were not eligible. Most participants received a diabetes exam. Johnny Rodriguez said "The outcomes were very impressive and we will continue to do this every year."
"EL Centro CET understands the importance of providing health information to its students," stated CET staff member, Elvira Anaya. "The fact that we can bring some of the services directly to the students is a great opportunity. Many of these students would not otherwise have access to these services if it were not for the Health fair."
